Amos attended Fairfield County Schools; however, entered the workforce at an early age to financially assist his family. He was employed with Lindbergh Rabb in Jenkinsville, S.C. where he retired.
Those who celebrate the life of Amos are his longtime companion Anne Stone, sisters; Alberta Sanders (James, deceased), Dannie Bell Sanders (David, deceased), brothers; Dan Jones (Barbara), Johnnie Ray Jones (Theressa) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly. Amos was preceded in death by brothers John Thomas Carter (Sue Mae), Roosevelt Carter (Eassie), James Thomas Jones (Mirian, not deceased) and sister Mary Agnes Sanders (JC Sanders).
A saying he used to say is “I love you with all my heart”, “ALWAYS” with a smile.
