Dewey Greene Obituary

Deacon Dewey Greene, Jr., the son of
the late Verdie Mae Greene and Father
Dewey Greene, Sr., was born on August
13, 1952. He attended Hopkins High School and graduated
in 1970. He received an Associate Degree from Midlands
Technical College and retired from Westinghouse, after
working 39 years.
He was a faithful member of Bible Way Church of Atlas Road
since 1973. He served as a coach and mentor throughout
the community. He enjoyed coaching and watching his
children and grandchildren participate in many sports and
activities. He was not only a father and grandfather to his
own family: he served with this same title to many others
throughout his life. He had a passion and love for horses,
sports, and was a DIE-HARD CLEMSON TIGERS FAN.
Deacon Dewey Greene leaves to cherish his memories,
his wife of 53 years, Brenda Lykes Greene; his son, Dewey
Greene III (Katina Greene), of Columbia, SC; his daughters,
Anastasia Greene and Kellee Greene, of Columbia, SC,

of many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends,
