Mrs. Hattie Inez Ruff-Thompson was born August 18, 1927 in Fairfield County and departed this life on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Hattie was a pillar and faithful member of Ebenezer AME Church of Winnsboro, SC. She was the daughter of Sally and Tom Ruff.
Hattie was employed as a housekeeper for many years. She was dedicated to her family and friends. She was always open to helping others and opened her home and arms to many. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, and singing. Her favorite color was purple.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Thompson, her parents Tom and Sally Ruff, a daughter Robbie Gibbs (Heyward), son Tommy Thompson. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Roy Ruff (Annie), Willie Ruff (Mary) Annie Thompson (Brooks) Ella Louise Craig (John) TW Ruff (brother) and one grandson Lamarce Ashford.
She leaves to cherish one daughter, Patricia Harris (Joseph) sons Ernest Thompson and John Craig (Sallie), six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
