Maggie Doneau Johnson was born on November 30, 1952, at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, to mother, the late Ida V. Gaither Pridgeon, and father, the late Lloyd Wayne Pridgeon, Sr.
God called this true-born soldier of His home on Friday, September 10, 2021. Maggie D. Johnson peacefully transitioned around 1:00 PM at Prisma Richland Memorial Heart Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
She was a faithful longtime member of the St. Matthews First Baptist Church family and provided services in various ministries during her lifetime. She served in the primary capacity of Usher on the Usher Board for over 30 years. Maggie D. Johnson worked in manufacturing for over 40 years until she found her passion in cooking for others and joined the Bi-Lo Deli family, from which she retired.
Surviving is her loving husband, Londell Johnson of Winnsboro, South Carolina; a son, Derrick L Johnson, Sr. (Doris) of Winnsboro, SC; a daughter, Lisha Johnson of Winnsboro, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Derrick L. Johnson Jr. (Tiara), Jasmine Davis, Santanna Johnson and Jada Day, all of Winnsboro, South Carolina; a brother, Lloyd W. Pridgeon, Jr. (Joyce) of Winnsboro, South Carolina; a sister, Belinda McCants (John) of Winnsboro, South Carolina; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many loving nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Pridgeon; father, Lloyd Pridgeon, Sr; sister, Karen Crim Fee, and nephew Robert Crim.
