Marie Aree Jackson Robinson departed this early life June 11, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Henry Jackson and Matie Thompson Jackson and Lizzie Brown Jackson.
Marie married Solomon Young Robinson in 1958, sixty-four blessed years. Marie was a resolute member of Gethsemane Baptist Church of Blair, SC. She was a member of the Symphony Club and Lodge #119. She retired from American Fiber Finishing.
Leaving behind to cherish her memories are her children: Kadena (Danny) Woodard deceased, Evangelist Olivia (Robert) Robinson-Bradley, Edith (John) Tucker, Regail (Wilson) Coleman, Shermie Robinson, Timothy (Cheryl) Robinson, Ricardi (Shemeka) Young and Evangelist Shirley (Ronald) Johnson. Twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Marie was predeceased by her parents, a daughter: Sol Alisa Robinson, two brothers: Thomas and Roosevelt Jackson, two sisters: Hattie and Mamie Jackson Hall, three grandchildren: Tavoris and Solomon Young and Toddford Robinson, Sr.
Marie had two brothers-in-laws: Herman (Josephine) Robinson, Lonnie (Caroll) Robinson, two sisters-in-law: Beverly Feaster and Minnie Robinson. An adopted Daughter: Loraine (Jessie) Hopkins. A devoted caregiver and niece Mammie Woodard. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special thanks to Cresent Hospice Care.
A funeral service for Mrs. Robinson will be held 2 o’clock, Thursday, June 16th in the chapel of Palmetto Funeral Service of the Midlands. Burial will be held at 9’clock, Friday at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The viewing will be held Wednesday from 1 until 3 o’clock at the funeral home.
