Mary Louise Davis O'Neal

Mary Louise Davis O’Neal was the daughter of the late Willie & Annie Bell Davis of Jenkinsville, SC. She departed this life early on March 10, 2022. She was a lifelong member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. She received her education at St. Barnabas Episcopal School and McCrorey-Liston School. 

 

She worked for a number of years in the Fairfield County School System where she served as a Parent Educator and substitute teacher.

 

She was preceded in death by her loving Husband Thomas “Tom” O’Neal, Sr., brothers John (Sugar Boy) Davis & Willie (Buck) Davis Jr., and grandson James L. Watkins.

 

“Lou” leaves to cherish her fond memories seven children: Fayette Stallworth, Harriet (Gordon) Pauling,  Thomas O’Neal Jr, Gloria (Kenneth) Jones, MAJ (Ret) Marzettis (Cynthia) O’Neal Sr., Aubrey O’Neal, & Lt Col (Ret) Montini (Gina) O’Neal. Ten Grandchildren; Miashamika Pauling, Marlo Pauling,  Marzettis (Demetrice) O’Neal Jr, Joshua Jones, Sr., Thomas (Shana) O’Neal, Kiara Jones-Parker, Dr. Carlos (Naomi) O’Neal Sr., Dr. Jayla O’Neal, Mariah O’Neal & Adrian Opara-O’Neal, 17 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives and friends. She was especially close to her beloved cousins Margaret Williams & Ernestine “V.E.” O’Neal. She will be missed by her Sister-In-Law Aquilla O’Neal and  was especially fond of her cousin Valdez O’Neal, Sr., who provided ever-present love, joy & support.

 

A public viewing will be held from 4pm-6pm on Thursday, March 17th at Palmetto Funeral Service.
