Mrs. Mary McDuffie-Woodard was a loving person who left her mark wherever she was present. She enjoyed watching cooking shows, doing crossword puzzles and cooking for her family. Her strength, spirit and character inspired all those who came in contact with her. A time to be born… Ecclesiastes 3:2 Mary was born on May 12th, 1955 to the late Willie McDuffie and Willie Mae Mann-McDuffie in Winnsboro, SC. She was the 4th of thirteen children. A time to live… Isaiah 38:16 Mrs. Mary received her education at Fairfield County Schools and some schools in Virginia and Connecticut. After finishing school, she joined the workforce and began a career at Louis Rich. In 2004, Mary was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. William Woodard. She then moved near Newberry County. A time to rest… On January 7th 2024, Mary transitioned and received her wings from the Lord while at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. She will truly be missed, words cannot express our sorrows. She will continue to be with us in our minds and hearts. She was such an inspiration and loving soul. A time to mourn… Ecclesiastes 3:4 Those left to cherish her fondness and a lifetime of memories includes her husband, William Woodard of Whitmire, South Carolina, a daughter, Latisha McDuffie (Marlon) of Winnsboro, South Carolina, three grandchildren DyDreekus McDaniel (Jahmiana); Creonshae Weldon (Ricardo) and Jamiya Sampson of Winnsboro, South Carolina; three: great-grands, Da’Kahri Drumwright, Brayden and Brixton McDaniel; four sisters: Joann (Jesse) Jackson and Betsy McDuffie (John) of Winnsboro, South Carolina, Doris (Gregory) Langford of Newberry, South Carolina, and Patricia (Duata) Ford of Ridgeway, South Carolina; three brothers: Elijah (Sandra) McDuffie, Randolph (Toni) McDuffie, Carl McDuffie (Angelina) of Winnsboro, South Carolina, brother-in-law, Melvin Ford of Winnsboro, South Carolina; two aunts, Henrietta Stokes of Irvington New Jersey and Edna Banks of Winnsboro, South Carolina; one uncle, Elijah Mann of Oxon Hill, Maryland and a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by three sisters, Carolyn Ford, Jennifer Boulware, Theresa Jackson, and three brothers: Willie Mann, James McDuffie and John Mobley.
