Mr. Willie Earl Thompson was the youngest of six children. Born to the late Mrs. Minnie Hill and Mr. Proff Elliott Thompson in Winnsboro, S.C. Born on December 30, 1932. He transitioned from life on March 12, 2021. Willie Earl attended the public schools in Fairfield County and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1952. Willie Earl also received an Associate Degree from Columbia Commercial College (now South University). Willie Earl spent five years in the United States Army and worked and retired from Moncrieff Army Hospital, Fort Jackson for thirty years. Willie Earl was a past member of Nazareth Presbyterian Church and a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church of Winnsboro, S.C. Where he was an Elder, choir member, Presbyterian Men, and others. After retiring Willie Earl spent many years as a substitute teacher at Fairfield Career and Fairfield Central High School. He was preceded by his parents, Proff and Minnie Thompson. One sister Estelle T. Simonton, four brothers, Proff Henry, John Albert, Isaac Thompson Sr, and Heyward Thompson. He was survived by 7 nieces Prophetess Marlo T. Woodard (Deacon Henry Woodard), Evangelist Minnie Heatley (Deacon Lucius Heatley) of St. Matthews, S.C. DeLaura Wadlington (Willie J. Wadlington), Helen Woodard (Trustee Robert
Woodard), Evangelist Pauline Hughes (Steward Martin Hughes), Eloise Martin of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Rosa Harris and Apostle Carolyn Harris whom he adopted as a niece. 5 Nephews Roy A. Thompson, Donald E. Thompson (LeAnn), Fred R. Thompson (Doresa) all of Columbia, S.C, John Thompson (Mildred) of Blackstock, S.C. A host of great-nieces and great-nephews and many loving cousins.
