Mrs. Patsy Irby “Put” Pinckney was born on December 22, 1939 to the late John and Sarah Davis Irby. She departed this earthly life on July 28, 2021 at her home. She was married to the late Army Veteran Mr. Charlie Pinckney.
Mrs. Patsy was the youngest of seven children. She was known for her southern cooking dance moves and her lively personality.
She was a member of St. John Baptist Church. While a member of St. John, she served on the Usher Board, Deaconess and ensured the church was clean and Pine-Sol fresh. She leaves to cherish her two children, Mary (Phillip) Evans and Vernon (Marilyn) Gratic. Mrs. Patsy has seven grandchildren, Quentin Martin, Sophia Evans, Seth Cameron, LaPaige Evans, LaPatsy Evans, Philana Evans, and Jakiela Gratic; and her three great-grandchildren, Blake Kennedy, Lauren Witcher and Jayceon Gratic.
She was preceded in death by her six siblings, Mamion Irby Sr. Jacob Irby Sr. Waddell Irby, Gertrude Siebles, Ora Lee (Gina) Irby and Pauline “Sang” Jones. Mrs. Patsy also has one sister-in-law, Ruby Nell Irby.
