Raymond Louis Coad Sr.

Raymond “DeeDee” Louis Coad Sr., the son of the late James and Hannie Suber Coad and Otis Feaster, was born in Blair, South Carolina, on June 5, 1955.  On Sunday, September 5, 2021, he quietly departed this life to join his Heavenly Father.

Raymond never met a stranger no matter where he went.  He always greeted everyone with a kind word and glowing smile.  Raymond always enjoyed the company of his family and friends.  He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Blair, SC.

Raymond was a 1973 graduate of McCrorey Liston High School in Blair Sc.  He worked many, many years with the Fairfield County EMS, Fairfield County Highway Department, and Agape Nursing Home.  He was employed with the Fairfield County Recycling Center at the time of his passing.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Deborah Coad of 42 years; mom and dads, Hannie and James Coad and Otis Feaster; grandparents, Wade and Nicie Suber; four brothers: James Coad Jr., Leroy Coad Sr., Wade Coad Sr., and Otis Feaster Jr.; one sister Minnie “Ruth” Ford; one aunt, Rosa Lee Thompson; mother in law Lois Davis; and one sister in law Fayette Ashford.

Raymond is survived by: two sons, Raymond Coad Jr. and Darryl Coad; one daughter, LaShanda Coad (Kelvin); two grandsons, Raekwon Coad of Columbia, SC, Devin Sampson Coad of Blair, SC; four grand-daughters; Demiria Sampson Coad of Blair SC, Raven Coad of Columbia, SC. 

Asaiah Coad of Winnsboro, SC, and Rayanna Coad of Newberry, SC; one great-granddaughter Karmin Coad of Winnsboro, SC; one sister; Felicia Coad-Harts of Columbia, SC; one brother, Robert (Shirley) Feaster of Blair, SC; two sisters-in-law; Enorma Coad and Forestine Coad, both of Columbia, SC two brothers-in-law; Stephon (Megan) Davis of Marietta, GA, and Kelvin (Sharon) Davis of Columbia, SC; a special friend; Elouise Morgan, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, all of whom will cherish him forever.
