Sandra Thomas

Mrs. Sandra Denise Thomas, or “Muddy” as she was affectionately called, was born on June 6, 1963, in Ridgeway, SC to Boysie and Myrtle Ford. Unexpectedly, she slipped out of time and into eternity in the early morning hours of December 25, 2021.
“Muddy” attended Fairfield County Schools and graduated from Winnsboro High in 1982. She confessed her faith at an early age at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Ridgeway, SC. She consistently supported her son’s ministry assignments until the time of her passing. She was formerly employed with the Board of Disability as well as the Fairfield County Recycling Center for several years.
As family was extremely important to her, “Muddy” spent countless days fellowshipping with those she held closest to her heart. Out of all of the things she was within the span of her life, the most paramount role was that of a servant. Never having met a stranger and always ready to assist those in need, “Muddy” spent much of her time assisting the elderly members in her family. She enjoyed fishing, shopping for her family and playing Candy Crush!
“Muddy” was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Glenn Thomas, Sr.
Now left behind to cherish a plethora of loving memories is her son, Glenn Thomas, Jr. (Ridgeway, SC); her parents, Boysie and Myrtle Ford (Ridgeway, SC); two sisters, Brenda (James) Young and Latisha Davis both of Ridgeway, SC; three brothers, Duata (Patricia) Ford (Ridgeway, SC), Melvin Ford (Winnsboro, SC) and Patrick (Latange) Ford of Ridgeway, SC. Her mother-in-law, Sadie Mae Thomas, one brother-in-law, Ray Thomas, Sr. and one sister-in-law, Patricia Thompson all from Winnsboro, SC. She also leaves behind two special nieces whom she considered her daughter and granddaughter: Pamela Ford and Cara Lynn Stevenson (Ridgeway, SC). Lastly, to cherish her memories, are a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who all love and will miss her dearly.
