Mrs. Susie Bell Mann-Moore a loving and giving person, has gone home to be with the Lord. Her kindness, strength, spirit and character inspired all whom she met and knew. Mrs. Susie Bell Mann-Moore was the eldest (child) of six siblings of the late James Mann Sr. and Annie Bell Pickett-Mann. She was born July 9, 1931 in Fairfield County, South Carolina. Susie received her education at Fairfield County Schools. Susie found the love of her life James Moore Sr. They were united in Holy Matrimony on September 22, 1947. Susie and James Moore left Winnsboro in 1949 in search of a better life. They both worked several jobs. Susie and James started their own business in 1968, Moore’s Trash Service and Moore’s Cleaning Service. Susie and James retired in 1995 and returned to Winnsboro to live. Susie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Friday, June 4th 2021, Susie received her wings from the Lord to come home. She will be truly missed, words cannot express our sorrows. She will continue to be with us in our minds and hearts. She was such an inspiration and a gentle soul.
Susie leaves to cherish her memory: five daughters, Ilene Moore-Baker of Winnsboro, SC; Loreen Bellamy (Leroy) of Woodbridge, Virginia; Denise Moore of Alexandria, Virginia; Terry Anderson (Keith) of Charlotte, North Carolina. Delores Brunson (Michael) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; three sons James Moore Jr. of Winchester, Virginia; Larry Moore (Linda) Purcellville, Virginia, and Horace Moore (Stephanie) of Woodbridge, Virginia; one sister, Mrs. Henrietta Mann-Stokes of Irvington, New Jersey; two brothers, James Mann Jr. of Alexandria, Virginia; Elijah Mann (Ossie) Oxon Hill, Maryland; three sisters-in-law Willie Mae Brown (Larry) of Spartanburg, SC; Lizzie Pauling of Tennessee; Loretta Gaither (Paul) of Alexandria, Virginia; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; three first cousins Frank Douglas Jr., Bernice Mann Harvey and Bun Mann Jr. and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews and friends. Susie also leaves to cherish her memory special friends Willie Early and Doris Rabb.
Susie was preceded in by the following family members: her beloved husband, James Moore Sr.; three beloved sisters, Mrs. Wille Mae Mann-McDuffie, Mrs. Louise Mann-Moore, and Mrs. Gertrude Mann-Boykins. Mom is now resting with our ancestors. We love you!
