Mr. William Adams Jr. was born October 4, 1961, in Birmingham, Alabama and he came to New York in 1964. He was the son of William L. Adams Sr. and the late Mattie E. Longmire Adams. He departed his earthly life Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Providence Northeast Hospital in Winnsboro, SC.
Mr. Adams graduated from George Washington High School in 1980 in New York. He worked with the railroad in 1981 alongside his father. He then moved to South Carolina in 2000. He worked at Walmart for several years, 17 years at Bi-Lo and Infinity Foods until his death. William loves his music, basketball, eating, walking, and watching his big-screen TVs. He was known as Bill to everyone and his favorite saying was “I love you now”.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Linda Adams. His children, William Adams III, Melody Allen, Stanley Foster Jr., and Jaheem Foster. Five grandchildren, Ke’Lynn Walker, William Kace Adams, Michael Adams, Brooklyn Foster, and Skylar Foster. Godchildren, Nehemiah Davis, and Trayden Woodard. His brothers, Tony (Tara), Barry (Pat), and Jesse (Tracey) Adams of New York. Sister in laws Rosetta Jeter, Dorothy (Joseph) Foster St. and Vannessa Jeter (Julius) Canty of Winnsboro, SC; brother in law James Jeter of NC, Willie Jeter of FL; Lonzo, Benjamin, Marvin, Terelle (Brandy) Jeter of Winnsboro, SC, Leon (Priscilla), Eric (Sabrina) and Thomas Jeter of Columbia, SC; aunts, Flora (Sherman) Lewis-Giles of Birmingham, Alabama and Marylin Lewis of Bradenton, Florida. Also, he leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
